CrossFit WOD

The Workout of the Day (WOD) is the ever changing program we offer daily. CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. Our classes range in modality from traditional strength training to Olympic weightlifting, from bodyweight and gymnastics skills to body building, and anything in between that helps make you stronger, faster, and better than you were the day before.

WOD classes offered daily.

We offer periodic swimming-focused WODs in partnership with I SWIM. Our swim WODs are outdoors in the summer at Bush Lake in Bloomington and indoors in the winter at the I SWIM pool at 6545 Flying Cloud Drive in Eden Prairie. Each Swim WOD is an unique blend of CrossFit movements with swimming. The group spends time on swimming technique while warming up. The WODs involve your typical CrossFit movements on deck (or on the beach) using a variety of equipment. Swim WODs are for all levels of swimmers as long as you can successfully complete a 25 yard swim-however you can get it done!

We typically offer swim wods once a month. Check our Facebook page for the next date!

Tangletown CrossFit and I SWIM, LLC are offering a discounted membership to those who belong to both. Discount only applies as long as you are paying memberships to both programs. May not be combined with other discounts.

Swim WODs

Tangletown Barbell Club

Our Olympic Weightlifting classes are intended to help individuals improve their technique on each of the snatch, clean, and jerk. Both newer lifters and experienced lifters will benefit from this class as they work on their mobility, isolate positions, and spend dedicated time on the Olympic Lifts. With individualized attention, all lifters can expect to improve their lifts by becoming more proficient. 

Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30pm with Coach Tim and Coach Lisa, USAW certified.

Endurance

The endurance class is a solid 30-40 minutes of work that utilizes running, rowing and biking, along with kettlebells, dumbbells and other tools to optimize cardiovascular fitness and increase endurance. Most of the classes are structured with long cardio intervals and large sets of weighted and non weighted exercises to stimulate the heart, lungs and muscles. 

Monday at 4:30pm, Thursday at 6:30am, Saturday at 8:00am with Coach Chrissy.

We offer 3 Open Gym sessions per week. These are a great opportunity to work on your fitness outside of regular class times. Practice new skills, dial-in weightlifting technique, do a WOD, or just come and hang out!

Fridays 5-6:30pm, Sundays at 7am and 11-12:30pm.

Tangletown Classic

The Tangletown Classic is our annual competition where athletes from all over the state are invited to come test their fitness against other crossfitters. We spend the day with athletes in RX, Intermediate, and Scaled divisions competing for prizes, hanging out, and having a fun, sweaty time.
